“What do Spaces Really Mean?”

Silence represents also represents a new work ethic for Pattinson. It now can take up to a month to finish a work, and he envisions working on Silence for a couple of years before he reexamines his ideas.

“I’m not sure what the word is, but it feels sophisticated to myself. It’s taking more energy to complete something. And I’m enjoying that sort of depth I’m putting into it.”

Scott Pattinson’s work will be on display at Oeno Gallery, along with work from Kim Atlin, from Fri August 8-Mon September 8. And you can look forward to a solo exhibition of the Silence series this fall at Vancouver’s Elliott Louis Gallery
